Wedding ceremony in Cliffs of Moher Retreat
8 – 9 am – yoga class
9am –– have a good breakfast, it will be a long day and it is important that you have a good breakfast. Plus the breakfast in Cliffs of Moher Retreat looks amazing and you do not want to miss it!
This is where the day started for the bride and her bridal party for a full day all well organised by the team of Waterlily Weddings who were the wedding planners for this Indian - American Destination wedding.
We arrived mid morning at the amazing venue, well in time for the afternoon ceremony in the serene room of the Cliffs of Moher Yoga Retreat. The wedding venue was chosen by Waterlily weddings when they were travelling the Wild Atlantic Way across the westcoast of Ireland last year in search of new and exiting wedding venues.
It was a very pleasant mornings work for a florist in this beautiful surrounding, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, threading 850 bright orange Marigold flowers into two long garlands that would make the main decorating element across both sides of the isle for this wedding.
After delivering the bouquets to the bride and her 'entourage' and admiring the stunning pink, gold and orange silk dresses, Henna tatoos and other Indian elements it was time for us to move on to the next location for the wedding.
With the ceremony over the bride would bring her guests to visit the majestic Cliffs of Moher site before travelling across the Burren landscape to Vaughans Pub in Kilfenora, Co. Clare. for the wedding buffet, with dance and party afterwards.
We arrived in the rustic Irish, traditional barn where we decorated with lots of bright orange flowers, natural greens and Irish wild flower elements in antique Irish milk jars and old jugs as well as placing lots of candles throughout the building.
We were luck to sample the dance music for the night as the DJ's just arrived before us and played the best of Bollywood for the duration of our time there. It once again didn't feel like work for us (-:
Finished our work and after making sure every element was taken care off it was time for us florists to enjoy a late lunch in Vaughans Pub nextdoor. We enjoyed a hearty bowl of Irish stew before heading back to our flowershop, leaving behind this stunning part of Ireland, looking forward already to returning to Co. Clare soon again.
When it comes to your wedding day, we understand that every detail counts and we work closely to provide inspiration and guidance to ensure beauty is realised on one of the most special days of your life. We love succeeding in creating perfect wedding flowers - from small intimate affairs through to significant productions.
