Lamber De Bie - Dutch Master Florist

Lamber de Bie, a Dutch Master Florist, who trained in Holland for nine years to achieve the highest recognition available in the world for a Florist “Dutch Master Florist”.

Lamber has a lifelong appreciation and love for nature and everything that lives on the planet we share. The fading blooms at the end of a season have the same beauty as the first sprout of green foliage we see appearing in our garden in early January.

His inspiration comes from travel, art, architecture, people and of course mother nature herself.

Ireland

In 1994 Lamber arrived in Ireland, “for one year”, to set up a new business for a Dutch Houseplant export company. Soon thereafter Ireland and it’s people won over his heart.

Lamber fell in love with the Irish countryside and especially the Irish Hedgerow. The abundance, the changing in the seasons and the sometimes controlled, and sometimes not controlled wildness still form a constant inspiration for his work as a floral designer.

Lamber lives with his partner Pat in County Kilkenny, together with their dogs, from where they operate and run their business.

Lamber de Bie Flowers

Their first retail store was opened in November 2000 where Lamber was invited to join alongside the then brand new Superquinn store in Waterford. Soon thereafter they opened a retail flower shop in Kilkenny city.

Lamber has attracted a team of highly skilled and creative and enthusiastic florists around him, Collectively known as “Lamber de Bie Flowers”. Apart from becoming the go-to florist in the south East of Ireland for all occasions, Lamber de Bie have become florist of choice for more weddings throughout Ireland every year.

In August 2020 the company started their Nationwide flower delivery of luxury bouquets of flowers, together with their transport partners at DPD.

Planet plant:
At Lamber de Bie Flowers we really care about the planet and take actions to make a positive impact.
Buying Irish flowers and foliage isn’t always possible, but when we can, we do. We are constantly working on increasing this ratio to favour local growers.
All of our waste plant and flower material is composted and 100% of it is re used to nurture our next seasons flowers.

Planet people:
All the great people who work at Lamber de Bie flowers like to recycle, re use and if at all possible use less in the first place. It is our goal to reduce our carbon foot print from our coffee cups to energy consumption to our composting.

Planet packaging:
Who said recyclable can’t be beautiful? Our signature flower box is 100% recyclable and so too are the flowers inside. That should put a smile on your face.
We are also on a mission to reduce our packaging and we reuse all our flowers buckets when our blooms are being delivered. We have sourced sustainable alternatives for flower foam and are working hard to make everything we use have the lowest impact on the planet as is possible. Like all other challenges at lamber de Bie flowers we relish this challenge.
