International Women’s Day - 8th of March 2020
International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8th of March every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women’s economic, political, and social achievements. It's a perfect occasion to show our care and gratitude to every special woman in our lives and to do something extra for our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives, daughters, girlfriends and colleagues.
In Ireland the celebrations of International Woman’s Day has grown significantly over the past number of years. Much of this is due to the increasing amount of Eastern Europeans now sharing Ireland with us as their home.
Men come into our flower shops to buy a bouquet or a single flower for all special women - celebrating the importance of these women in their life.
This tradition has been picked up by many Irish men as a gesture of recognition for the women in their life.
At Lamber de Bie we truly believe that the best gift on this special day is a bouquet of beautiful fresh flowers.
Delightfully colourful, vivid and attractively designed, our selection of bouquets and flower arrangements features the pure beauty and elegance of flowers.
Each International Women’s Day bouquet is carefully hand-tied by our professional florists before being delivered or can be collected from our shops in Waterford and Kilkenny.
